I believe this is actually a part of Moraine State Park. My family stayed there in one of the modern cabins it was very nice. It had a good sized kitchen, a bathroom, two bed rooms and a living room.
Stayed in a cabin on my and my boyfriend's one year anniversary three years ago. It was so peaceful and cozy. Thinking about taking another trip!
We go every year! LOVE it. So clean and welcoming. This is perfect for a family gathering, couples getaway, or a friends retreat. Moraine State Park offers lots of activities during the summer. But is also very welcoming during the winter.
It's a great place for a family vacation. The cabins are furnished and well constructed, complete with bathroom, shower, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and baseboard heat. You have to make a reservation a year in advance to get it for a week in the summer. Each cabin has a picnic table, fire ring, and private dock. Be aware that a skunk (or skunk family) may pass through but if you leave them alone they will leave you alone.
The thing my family enjoyed the most of about the park was the bike trails. They are paved and very nice riding. From end to end its 7 miles long.
