Amazing trails and waterfalls along Slippery Rock Creek. Always a beautiful place during any time of the year. I would highly recommend going off the beaten path and exploring the rocks and trails in the woods.
This is where the glaciers ground to a halt. Huge boulder tumble on the steep slopes of this gorge. Activities include trails, skilled white water and rock climbing. The North Country Trail system runs through part of the park. A very special place to practice the leave no trave ethic.
This is one of our favorite places to go on weekends. Scenic park with trails and beautiful drives. We go to the Heritage Festival every year, and though it's small we always find some great fall decor. We did our engagement and maternity photos here, it is a great setting for that or simply landscape photography.
Great park. Has an old mill, covered bridge, and large rocks with plenty of walking opportunities. A lot of fun with the dog. .
This is a smaller park but the trails are well groomed and on most you don't hear any road noise. Hell's Hollow is super short and pretty. There are a few other trails that are longer, and they all seem to be well marked. A great escape from nearby Pittsburgh.
